Heather and Jarret Adams purchased the Village Inn of Woodstock in 2020, living out their 20-year dream of owning and running a bed and breakfast inn. When they found their ideal place in Woodstock, Vermont, they jumped at the chance, disregarding that they were in the middle of the pandemic. Fortunately, their gamble paid off as people began to re-emerge after over a year of isolation, yearning for travel.
Heather has had a varied career, mostly in hospitality, and feels as though the culmination of her talents are being put to use at the inn. She loves hosting guests and cooking beautiful, creative breakfasts for them each morning. After attending culinary school in Thailand, Heather started her company, Sweet Home Thai, a catering and teaching operation, serving up Thai food with a southern twist. That influence can still be seen and tasted in the Asian fusion cuisine we serve at The Vic Tavern.
Heather and Jarret moved their family from northern Virginia, where Jarret owned a PR firm. He still runs his boutique firm from an office in Woodstock and also assists Heather in many ways. He can often be found serving drinks behind the bar or checking in guests. Their son, Jackson, an artist in Nashville, bartends at The Vic Tavern and often assists in the kitchen when he is home. Their daughter, Felicity plans to play volleyball in college and will sometimes peek in for a quick hello.
The Adams family has a unique combination of talents, education and life experiences that shows in the genuine hospitality that they share with all of their guests. Your stay will be a memorable one with the Adamses as your hosts!
